When Clayton was forced to leave his hometown with his young family due to the destruction of their home by a hurricane, he learned valuable lessons in staying calm in stressful situations and helping others do the same. He understands the pressure of finding financing for a new home and the challenges of closing a loan on time, having experienced both sides of that process.
A native of New Orleans, LA, Clayton moved his family to Nashville in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home. While many chose to move to Houston after the storm, he set his sights on Music City and hasn’t looked back since. He appreciates experiencing all four seasons, the beautiful scenery, the vibrant restaurant scene, the excellent roads (a significant improvement from his hometown), and the ubiquitous music scene reminiscent of New Orleans.
Entering the mortgage industry, Clayton drew from his extensive background in sales and event management, where he honed his skills in meeting time-sensitive deadlines. Coordinating major events for thousands of people made handling tight schedules second nature. However, what he loves most about the mortgage industry is guiding people through one of the largest decisions of their lives.
